Goal Plan Accuracy Calculation Update

The plan accuracy calculation was originally based only on the ratio between the planned estimate and the actual result. It now also includes the length of the planned horizon - the longer the horizon and the bigger the difference, the lower the accuracy.

Shared and Multi-Currency Budgets

Budgets can now be set in any currency, which is converted into the base currency of the given budget. You can also choose whether the budget applies only to your own records or also to records on accounts you share with other users.

Transfer Form Update

The transfer form no longer uses dropdown menus for account selection. Instead, it now displays the individual accounts directly, making the selection more intuitive by showing only usable accounts. I have updated the overall appearance and layout and added a list of recent records, which automatically displays relevant records. This list can be hidden in the profile settings.

New Record Form Update

I have slightly adjusted the bottom part of the form, where the note field, attachment icon, and confirmation button are now placed in one row. I have also moved the button for clearing the form to the left side, so it is not close to the confirmation button.

Recent Records in the New Record Form

I have added a list of the last 5 entered records to the new record form. These records update based on the selected account, and optionally also based on the selected category, subcategory, and detail. If you do not want to display these recent records, you can change this in Profile under Display - Dashboard tab.

Calculator Update

On mobile devices, the mobile keyboard is no longer displayed when using the calculator, so it no longer gets in the way when entering values. On desktop, the keyboard can still be used for input.

Summaries: Categories - Filter Update

In Category Summaries, I have updated the currency filter. It is now possible to select multiple currencies and recalculate the results into another currency.

Transactions Filter Update

In the transaction list, I have added the option to filter records by the author who entered them. You can now filter either only your own records or records created by other users. This is useful for shared accounts. I have also adjusted the filter so that the date is the primary source, which means the available filtering options are based on records that actually exist.

After resetting the password, the user is now logged out from all trusted devices. The list of trusted devices is deleted.

Transaction Overview .csv Export

The .csv export now includes a new "User" column showing who created the record. This is useful for shared accounts when you need to see who entered each record.

Transaction Overview Has a New Filter

I updated the filter in Transactions to match the one already used in Graphical Overviews. The filter now allows quick selection of records for today, yesterday, this week, or this month. For amounts, you can also filter only income or only expenses with a single button.

Recommendations in Financial Goals

Added the option to choose the period for which savings are calculated and the option to choose the % of savings you plan to save. The result is a calculation of savings for the next 6 and 12 months.

Improved Financial Goals

Financial goals have undergone a major change:

  • The estimated achievement is now displayed as a date, with the time needed shown in brackets
  • Display of a more detailed view of the configured goal
  • Plan accuracy compared to reality
  • Actual monthly average savings
  • Planned estimate for achieving the goal
  • Estimated goal achievement based on actual savings
  • A chart showing the past and next 6 months

When creating a new plan or editing an existing one, a new "Recommendation" button is available. It displays information about how much is saved monthly based on actual records and how much could be saved in the upcoming period.

Graphic overviews updated

I updated the filter in the graphic overviews by adding the option to filter by currency and, if needed, convert values into one selected currency. I also changed the doughnut chart showing the ratio of balances across individual accounts and replaced it with a clearer bar chart.

Shared account records

It is now possible to set whether a shared account is transparent. If the account owner sets the account as shared, the user it is shared with can view all records for that account. The user can also choose whether they want to see these records, because they are included in summaries. Only the records of the given user are used for the Score calculation.

It is now possible to share financial accounts between users. Access rights can be set for adding, deleting, or editing records.

You can now install Finio.live from your browser as an app on your computer or mobile device. Finio.live is now a PWA, which means Progressive Web Application.

New Record Entry: Dynamic Category Selection

In the form for adding a new transaction, only the main category selection is now displayed by default. The option to select a subcategory appears only after the main category has been selected, followed by the Detail field. The form is now clearer and easier to use.

Edit and Duplicate Buttons in Recent Records

I added two new buttons to the recent records panel on the home page. One button is for editing a record and the other for duplicating it. It is now possible to quickly and easily edit or duplicate a record after it has been added.

For the Trial and Free licenses, the limit has been increased from 3 to 5 accounts.

Saving minimized (collapsed) view

In some parts of the application, individual panels can be minimized by clicking the header - collapsed so that only the header remains visible. This feature is currently available on the Dashboard and in the User Profile, and its state is now saved.

Redesign of Financial Goals entry and management

The Financial Goals module contained an outdated version of the entry form. I unified editing and entry according to the new system.

Personal financial score calculation

The system now calculates and displays the Financial Score metric. It covers the last 90 days and requires at least 20 records. The individual metric components are: cash flow, financial reserve, income and expense stability, debt level, and amount of savings. The resulting value is available on the Dashboard, and after expanding it, the results of the individual parts are displayed. Clicking through to the detail shows the exact calculation, evaluation, and recommendations for improvement.

TOP 3 expenses overview on Dashboard

On the homepage (Dashboard), a new graphical and numerical overview of the TOP 3 expenses for the current month is displayed. It is possible to switch and view another month or a different currency.
Clicking on the main category allows viewing subcategory details.

Monthly summary on Dashboard

The monthly summary on the Dashboard has been unchanged since the beginning and no longer matched the current design. I made a visual update and removed the unnecessary expand feature.
I also added the option to select the displayed currency.

Favorite entries via quick button

It is now possible to set icons for quick entry creation. These icons are displayed on the homepage above the entry form and can have all values preconfigured.

If you frequently have the same expenses (for example, shopping regularly at the same store and always paying by card), you can set a quick option like this:

  • Account: Bank
  • Category: Food
  • Subcategory: Supermarket
  • Detail: Kaufland
  • Note: Regular weekly shopping

The amount remains empty and can be filled manually.

Before saving the entry, all options can be adjusted individually.

Article of the day

I added a new section "Article of the Day", where you can find short and clear financial insights every day.

No theory, just things that make sense in real life – expenses, savings, habits, and a slightly different view on money.

The goal is simple: help users better understand their finances and gain more control.

The introduction and basic idea are available to all users, detailed information only for Basic and Premium licenses.

Automatic JPG attachment compression

A new option has been added in the profile settings to enable automatic compression of uploaded photos.

If you attach receipts, for example, the app automatically reduces their quality, resulting in smaller file size and saving storage space.

The quality reduction is visually almost unnoticeable and saves up to 90% of storage.

Compression is available for all users in the Attachment Management menu, where individual photos can be compressed manually.

For Basic and Premium licenses, this compression can now be set to run automatically after upload.

Recurring payments

The new main feature Recurring Payments ensures you have an overview of regularly outgoing expenses: standing orders, direct debits, subscriptions, and more.
